The site was originally held by the esteemed Sisters of St. Joseph to run dairy cattle for boarders at their college founded in 1883. Today, the adjacent St. Joseph’s College continues a legacy of educational excellence and community stewardship.
The project name “Tenison Heights” honours Father Julian Tenison Woods, who established the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1866.
Our masterplan is considerate of the site’s history, ensuring the scenic ridge line remains as a reminder of the “Stations of Cross” – an Easter tradition of installing timber crosses established in 1967.
